After receiving permission from the CEO of the company that own Royal Connaught Park, We went back on Friday morning with the jacuzzi working, however, it wasn't warm! I bought all my props with me so all the fruit, the two bottles of vodka (filled with water). Unfortunately the only prop i left at home was the olives and tooth picks, but we sliced the strawberries with the glasses to give an exotic extravagance to the atmosphere. Dreams are very surreal so i wanted to add extra objects to create a weird vibe.
One of the security guys came down and told us off for carrying glasses in the jacuzzi and warned us that it could be extremely dangerous if any glass was to break in the jacuzzi. So we had to put away the vodka bottles and martini glasses, but by that time i had a sufficient amount of shots with the props so we carried on without any props. It was such a beautiful day and the complex is so big, we went to film the final scene in the greenery just a 5 minute walk away from the indoor pool area. There were trees that casted intriguing shadows that i felt could help pursue Alex's dreamy state of mine. Especially as the disturbing twist was about to be revealed, i felt the location was better suited to a busy public area like Hyde Park.
Afterwards i took both Alex and Liv out for lunch as we had one more scene to shoot and i wanted to thank them for spending 3 days with me and helping me put my film together.
Jamie, who was playing Liv's boyfriend, joined us to reshoot the scene where Alex sees Liv get on the train with her boyfriend. Zac Coon, another friend i have known from my area for many years, joined us as the random passenger on the train. We pre arranged at Canons Park Station which seat Alex will be sitting on, and which seat Zac will come and sit down on when he gets on the train the stop after Canons Park station on the first carriage. It took about 3 times to do going back and fourth to get right and luckily there wasn't any disturbances from the public.
