2 months ago i bought the domain to a website using one.com. After struggling for ages to pick a theme, i have finally put it together. The theme i went with was Tincidunt. I could picked any of the 4 below as they are pretty similar. My thought process was to have my showreel as the main heading.

Finally my website is up and running. It took me many, many hours to fiddle around and chose a theme, let alone putting it together!!! It was tougher than first expected.

I went with a simple design so that nothing would distract my audience from the main purpose of their visit, and thats to find out who i am and what i do. The showreel is on the front page. Underneath (and above) is a menu to visit my work (6 completed videos), a short synopsis about me as well as contact details.

My showreel includes all the contact details, as well as my business card. The beginning steps to finishing university are in place, I will soon be ready to start my professional career in the film industry as a freelancer.

Business cards

As my mum is a freelance photographer, she has had to make her own website and business cards so I was put on the right path for the cheapest accessories.

For 50 business cards the cheapest option including p&p is under £7. As a starting freelancer i can't afford much more than that at this current time in my life. I want a simple design that would highlight my niche industry.

There were only two designs on 123.com that weren't too bad. I went with the design of the photographer under his curtain whilst trying to take a picture. It's got a cute, light sense of humor emotion towards it that emphases character, unlike the film strip which i felt was just plain and boring.

I had placed an order at the beginning of the week but they haven't arrived yet, it should be any day now.

It includes my telephone number, email address, website, and business type only on one side, to produce anything on the reverse side was more expensive.

My memory is so poor that the only answer i can think of when being questioned on my favorite film is Toy Story.... That isn't ideal especially for a 22 year old. The reason why I probably say Toy Story is because i watched it over and over as a kid that i decided to ignore all other movies. I wasn't brought up to watch any of the classics other than Disneys and Bugsy Malone. Now, when asked opinions on movies, i am able to give my 2 pence. This is more of a personal blog so i can remember which films i liked and which ones i didn't. As well as this, I often get a pleasant surprise of "oh he directed this one as well??" and patterns start to emerge.
