PPP Lecture – 10/1/2012
Love Enterprise
Andy Peers
Andy was a 10-year-old acrobat champion
Dropped out of a levels to eventually
become area manager of the big issue and succeeded
Love Enterprise – a passion for social
businesses
Want to support business companies and
individuals that want to use enterprise to take their companies forward
As a kid Andy learnt how to lose well and
how to win well
Without care and support from his parents
from an early age he wouldn’t have benefited
Learnt to become not just a good gymnast,
but a good person
Lessons; whatever you do, you don’t know it
all. Friends are there to support you and kick you up and ass when you need
help
Find a mentor that’s been down your path
and can help and teach you
We all have our limitations but hard work
will go a long way
Andy learnt guitar and believes he had a
gift to learn so he could teach his head-teachers son the guitar, who went on
and got an A in GCSE’s and diploma in music.
If you do something to the best of your
ability its amazing where it can take you in life.
I have a choice to make my life as
disciplined as I want. Andy worked at WHSmith and Burger King
He loves a challenge of social business
Believes many of the managers at WHSmith
wouldn’t have been able to turn around the big issue like he did because of his
personality
