Volunteering at Sundance London

Volunteering for Sundance was a good experience that i feel like i didnt make enough of. I missed the training day due to Uni commitments, It was a couple days before the event but i was in Leeds and didnt feel like it was worth me coming to London for. I didn't realise how non film related my role was. I was front of house, greeting and welcoming everyone. To people that were turning up to the o2 arena at North Greenwich to see McBusted, it was my job to direct them towards the arena. I was able to speak with other volunteers ofcourse that were doing similar roles but i didn't get a chance to get involved in the theatre roles. I would have loved to of been involved in setting up projectors and being in the nitty gritty. It wasn't all that pointless though as it's an extra piece of ammo i can throw into the CV, as well as this, i now know for future events that I need to ask in future to be placed into other areas if i want to succeed quicker.
