Environment Set up trial

I was desperate once i had finished the assets to see the scale of everything being put together before i moved onto Unity. It's far from complete and was thrown in without consideration of any elevations, but i was looking to get a feel for how it may look.

Environment assets created on Maya

The pram we had decided to colour black/dark red as it would all be on fire.

Unfortunately Curley, the little character was too small to walk up the steps so we didn't use it in the environment. It was ashame as i spent many hours and had to resolve troubles with uv mapping the pathway. Noted i had some help, where i went wrong was I had extruded a certain point more than once without moving it from it's position, and this led to Maya getting confused, and wouldn't allow me to map it correctly.

Playground Assets created on Maya

I really enjoyed creating these assets on Maya. After i got the hang of it i managed to get some pleasure out from it, especially with the finished models once they had been textured. UV mapping and Texturing was a pain as expected but i had to embrace the whole procedure. I was pleased as i felt i had exceeded my own expectations.

Playground Horse on Maya

Spring: http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=43DJG4uvCxY

Every children's playground has the horse springs or some sort of animal. I had a lot of trouble creating a spring so used a youtube tutorial which was quite helpful.
