I'm looking at the concept of City film and identity. What is Leed's identity and how isit portrayed? I'm fascinated by current and popular culture, people come all over the country to study in Leeds and a massive part of that is due to the music scene, fashion, and it's popularity. Theres a huge appeal to the outside and i want to explore Leed's identity among students a little bit more.
Watching youthful films that i can (SORT OF) relate previous experiences with such as Justin Kerrigan's Human traffic and Danny Boyle's Trainspotting has inspired me not just to make films, but to create a bond of people who share these same experiences in Leeds. Many people get judged and labelled different tags, and it's in my interest to identify who these people are and what they get up to.

These two scenes in both films were quite epic that reminded me of each other. Leaving the viewer breatheless but with also questions as to why, whats next, and feeling the intensity.
I will film part of Leeds student life to bring out part of Leeds identity with a narrator talking over the top of a soundtrack. I will be using some compositing and chroma keying techniques as i will be relating it to my essay of shooting on location and green screen.
Disclosure's - Boiling video uses montage in an interesting way to keep the male imagination interested throughout the whole video. It creates an emotional transition having these sexy models toy with the viewier, primarily a male audience, and allow his imagination run wild simply by the way shes dressed, slowing some of her movement down, and cutting scene just when it could get seriously interesting.

Peace & dub by Die & Break is a trippy montage video that doesn't quite tell a story, but has tons of interesting footage which takes the viewer on a journey.
