looking at some exterior locations where i could shoot the poker scene. Ultimately, it is too cold, probably lots of rain, very limited plug holes, if any. Plus there is no bar in any rooms, so unless i made one, it is not possible for my actor to go up to the bar.
Hyde Park Picture House in Hyde Park Leeds.
I live down the road from the Picture House and I volunteer there. There is a back door down the dark side road that quite underground looking. We have chosen this location to shoot the opening scene, as if our poker game was going on in this building. We are not using the cinema at all so i don't want to give a false accusation to the audience watching the film that we are in the Picture House. As i volunteer here it will be possible for me to ask to use the side of the building.
